About Edexcel A Level Maths

The Edexcel A Level Maths exam (specification 9MA0) is made up of three two-hour written papers, each worth 100 marks. Edexcel A Level Maths Paper 1 and Paper 2, Pure Mathematics 1 and Pure Mathematics 2, can each test any of the pure content, from proof, algebra and functions to differentiation, integration and vectors. Paper 3, Statistics and Mechanics, is split into Section A on statistics, including sampling, probability, distributions and hypothesis testing with the large data set, and Section B on mechanics, including kinematics, forces and Newton’s laws and moments.
